Job description

Are you an experienced Full Stack Developer with a passion for technology and a feel for machines?

At EternalSun, you work on the software that drives our high-end sun simulators – technology that is used worldwide by the largest solar panel producers and leading R&D labs. You literally help turn on the light in the energy transition.

About us:

We are an innovative and fast-growing high-tech company from The Hague. With over 65 colleagues, we work daily on the future of solar energy. Our simulators mimic sunlight to test solar panels in detail. And because we develop and build everything in-house, you immediately see what your work yields.

What you will do:

As a Full Stack Developer, you are involved in our software from beginning to end – from building a sleek frontend to controlling machines and processing data. You develop in a small, close-knit team and work closely with our engineers, mechanics, and customers all over the world. No day is the same.

Your tasks:

  • Developing and maintaining software for control, data acquisition, and visualization

  • Building a scalable full stack architecture (Python backend, Angular frontend, Java/Spring data layer)

  • Devising and implementing new features in consultation with users and colleagues

  • Controlling our sun simulators from the PC (hardware/software integration)

  • Thinking along about the technical direction of our platform (long-term choices)

  • Supporting customers and service engineers remotely (and sometimes on location)

  • Working in an informal, results-oriented environment with plenty of room for personal initiative

Job requirements

What you bring:

  • At least 6-8 years of experience as a Full Stack Developer

  • Extensive experience with Angular (preferably version 8, 9 or 10)

  • Good knowledge of Python (for backend and machine communication)

  • Familiar with Java / Spring Boot and SQL databases

  • Experience with data visualization and UI development

  • Affinity with hardware, machines or industrial automation is a big plus

  • Independent, proactive and you enjoy working in a technical team

  • Bonus points: experience with PLC programming or AWS

What we offer:

  • Competitive salary and 8% holiday pay;

  • Annual performance bonus;

  • Travel allowance of €0.23 per kilometer;

  • 25 vacation days with the possibility to buy extra;

  • Pension scheme with extra modules for more security;

  • A personal development plan (training, courses, coaching);

  • An extensive lunch at the office every day (free!);

  • Flexible working hours;

  • A one-year contract with the prospect of a permanent employment relationship.

What makes us different:

  • Everything under one roof: our simulators are built, tested and improved here. So you can immediately see and test what you develop

  • International impact: your software runs worldwide at leading customers

  • Freedom to innovate: room for new tools, techniques and even setting up a completely new platform in the long term

  • Short lines, big effect: your ideas really have impact here
