We are expanding the software team with a Global Team Lead Software Engineer, based in The Hague.
Job requirements
Role Purpose
We are looking for a Global Team Lead software engineer to lead, integrate and guide our SW engineering departments in both The Hague (Eternal Sun) and Leipzig (Wavelabs).
This is a senior level team management role (part of the leadership team), where you are responsible for your teams, the software architecture and tooling. In this role you’ll work closely together with the other engineering departments, sales, project management and the workshop floor to realize projects from A to Z.
Profile & Experience
Managing & coaching your teams in both The Hague as well as in Leipzig (~ 17 FTE)
Link between the individual (lead) engineers, Head of Engineering and project leaders
Developing and maintaining software for control, data acquisition, and visualization of our Sun Simulators
Maintaining our current software stack (exists of C#, Python, Angular, Java, PLC structured text, Firmware C++, SQL)
Designing and implementing new features in consultation with users and colleagues
Integrate and merge ways of working between locations
Thinking about the technical direction of our platform (long-term choices)
Supporting customers and service engineers remotely (and sometimes on location)
Making sure work gets planned and executed on time
Working in an informal, result-oriented environment with plenty of room for own initiative
Travel
~25% travel required, mostly visiting Leipzig engineering team
